1/10 pre-assembled 1950’s Vintage F1 KIT

Recreate the thrill and excitement of 50’s open wheel racing !!! This kit is designed to re-produce the challenges and thrills of driving an open wheel F1 from the 1950’s, with it’s large diameters (80mm) narrow tires (20mm) front and rear, this rear wheel drive beast is not a F1 for beginners ! The chassis offers a large range of settings to fit both the track conditions and driving style. Thanks to its long rear diffuser and low center of gravity, the car is well planted to the ground, but with such narrow tires, traction however good, break quickly in the corners !!! The use of a gyro is highly recommended to increase the cornering speed and overall performances, but it is not necessary to pilot it, especially if you enjoy the sound of screeching tires!!!

This kit comes partially pre-assembled but requires build for both the bodyshell as well as the boutique manufacturer’s parts.

This kit is for experienced RC car builders and drivers.

This kit is available to order and back-order; note that as manufacturer parts from Team Saxo are purchased per order, it takes around 5 working days to get the parts before shipping. 

Here is the SDR Vintage F1 chassis !

This chassis is based on the unique SDR RWD 1/10 platform, using SDR aluminum POD and Team Saxo Diff and Front end from the Team Saxo F180. The rims are specially designed for this kit and produced in SLA plastic. The Vintage F1 is a mix of scale RC and Competition RC. The very large V12 motor mounted above the front is designed as an air duct, it’s hollow and brings the cold air from the intake onto the battery or the ESC underneath it.  Keeping the V12 makes the chassis much heavier and offers a more realistic driving experience; when removed,the lighter chassis will gain in understeer and general performances.

The kit comes with all SDR parts pre-assembled and manufacturer parts in original packaging. All SLA plastic parts come in white.
